North Node Series: Virgo/Pisces: Axis of Sacrifice

North Node or True Node is like an arrow in the birth chart. It shows you where you should go. On the flip side, South Node represents a black hole. The more energy we put into it, the more we lose.

South Node can also represent our conditioned habits, whether we believe these come from ancestry or reincarnation. North Node, then, will represent something we’ve never done before. We are very good at our South Nodes but replaying them will make us more dissatisfied. Trying to do something we’ve never experienced, however, will open up the world to us.

The reason the North/South Nodes oppose each other is because we must use what we know to do what we do not know. Because there is a principle behind every polarity, it is important we take full advantage of our South Node to approach our North Node.

In this series, I focus on the principle behind each polarity to provide solutions for navigating each nodal position by sign. I will also describe each polarity by a relationship to another polarity on the zodiac wheel, usually the square, because nothing in astrology happens in isolation.

Saturn Conjunct Midheaven Transit

When Saturn transited over my Midheaven, I had just graduated college and was in an abusive relationship that made me feel inadequate in all sorts of ways.

Saturn makes us restructure whatever it transits over, to take things a little more seriously, and will frequently make us feel inadequate about a house when it first come into that house. Saturn in seventh house? You don’t feel great about your relationships at first and figure out ways to set boundaries and make relationships longer lasting.

What about Saturn transiting over the tenth house, house of career, when you’re not even sure what you want in life?

Aquarius New Moon

The Aquarius New Moon for this year is tomorrow night (January 27th, 2017). This is am important New Moon, coinciding the the Lunar New Year. For this New Moon, we’ll feel the need to consider ourselves in a truly individual ways, not just as a means to rebel but to as a way to move forward. In fact, we may find that our patterns of rebellion have been self limiting.

Aquarius is about the future and what you see yourself doing in the future, not for ruminating on the past. It’s about creating dreams and a life purpose for yourself that does not have anything to do with your family, your partnerships, or even your friends but with your personal relationship to humanity at large.
